01 Student names, kept small
Inside the app, students appear as first name and last initial on every screen. Full legal names aren’t required: if you enter only a last initial, that’s all we store.
Good to know: Progress report PDFs do print the student’s name as you entered it, because they’re written for the IEP team and the family.
02 AI is optional, and it gets the minimum
AI meeting prep runs only when you ask for it. It receives the goal text (area, goal, criteria and schedule) and nothing else: no scores, no session notes, no photos. The student’s name is scrubbed on our server before the request is made.
Good to know: Goal import also uses AI to sort pasted text into fields. The import screen asks you to leave the student’s name out, and you choose the student yourself in the review step.
03 Never sold. Never used to train AI.
Student data is never sold, and it isn’t used to train AI models. Our AI provider processes requests under an agreement that excludes training on the data we send.
04 No IEP system login, ever
You bring goals in by pasting, uploading a screenshot or uploading a spreadsheet. We never ask for your district’s IEP system username or password. Imported files are processed in memory and not kept.
05 Marketing trackers stay off student screens
This website uses analytics so we can see which pages help teachers. Those tools are never added to the signed-in app where student information appears.
06 Paperwork your district expects
We sign a Data Processing Agreement with districts and publish it openly, alongside our privacy policy, so your review starts with real documents, not a sales call.
